Product Spotlight: Kirkpatrick Lubrication Systems

Atlantic Cordage, North America’s leading distributor of wire rope, prides itself on exceeding all requests and requirements made by its valued customers. This month, we look to spotlight our role as a stocking distributor for the Kirkpatrick Group, a leading supplier of wire rope lubrication systems and the “Dynaguard” brand environmentally friendly wire rope lubricants. Currently Atlantic Cordage has ready stock of both Dynaguard Blue and Dynaguard E wire rope lubricants in 5, 16, and 55 gallon drums. Kirkpatrick lubrication systems, ideal for onboard application, are available from stock in Texas, and are also implemented daily by our Atlantic Cordage staff in the customized lubrication of new or previously-used wire rope.

Established in 1986, Kirkpatrick has 22 years of proven worldwide operational experience in the field of wire rope lubrication. Kirkpatrick lubrication systems are designed for efficiency. As the grooves and surfaces of the wire are scraped clean, new lubricant is uniformly applied. This process allows for an easy visual inspection of the wire, while entrapped water is pressurized out of the internal strands. Wire maintenance with a Kirkpatrick system, whether on land or at sea, is performed with a fraction of the time usually wasted during manual application. Maersk Lube

Kirkpatrick’s Dynaguard line of lubricants has proven to provide long-term protection from both corrosion and wear. Both Dynaguard E, a non-toxic 97% biodegradable lubricant, and Dynaguard Blue, developed specifically for manual application, have been produced around governmental and commercial user’s input; making them both compatible for hundreds of wire applications, and involving every temperature range.

Dynaguard’s proficient field performance, coupled with its environmentally friendly composition has garnered its use by the United States Navy, the United States Coast Guard, and NOAA.

Atlantic Cordage is proud to distribute and partner with a company like Kirkpatrick, whose products do their part to keep our waterways clean and ships operational.
